Parroquia de San Mateo

Situada en la Plaza Nueva. El edificio responde a los cánones artísticos gótico-mudéjares y renacentistas. Las tres capillas que conforman la cabecera del templo, presentan bóvedas de crucería alzadas sobre grandes pilares de compleja planta, con capiteles de estilo gótico tardío de clara raigambre cordobesa. Del mismo estilo son las portadas de la sacristía y la exterior de Nuestra Señora o de la Umbría.
La cubierta, a dos aguas, está envuelta interiormente, en la parte renacentista del edificio, por un artesonado.


Located in Plaza Nueva. The building responds to the artistic canons Gothic-Mudejar and Renaissance. The three chapels that make up the head of the church, vaults have raised on pillars of complex plant, with late Gothic capitals clear roots of Cordoba. In the same style are the portals of the sacristy and outside of Our Lady or of Umbria. The roof, gable, is wrapped inside, at the Renaissance building, with a coffered ceiling.
